CHRM 132: Survey of Church History II

Survey of Church History II is a study of the church from the Reformation through the twentieth century. This course is particularly important for understanding the rise of denominations after the Reformation. This may help you better understand where your particular denominational tradition fits into church development. Survey of Church History II emphasizes the spread of missions in the 18th and 19th centuries. This helps Christians today understand how God worked in the lives of well known leaders like William Carey, as well as lesser known Christians, to take the gospel around the globe. Finally, Survey of Church History II looks at the issues that faced the church in the 20th century. Many of these issues remain today. This course will help you understand the challenges we face as the move into the 21st century.
